Handwritten Words for Memorization

For my groups presentation Mariah did the introduction. She introduced all of us, gave an overall summary of “Why Writing By Hand Is Better For Memory And Learning” by Charolette Hu. Me and Cole then proceeded to present some key take aways from the reading and additionally mentioned two quotes that backed up our statements and connections. Finally, Dev presented our conclusion which consisted of putting together me and Cole’s key points and comparing them to the solution of Charolette Hu’s writing. Dev’s final statement was then an open ended question for the class to think about.

By breaking up our presentation the way my group did, we all got an even amount of talking points and we all made the work load easier on eathother. Overall I would say our presentation had good rythem when we were working together and when we presented to the class. We each had our notecards memorized and we made sure to look at our audience.

Skylar, you, Mariah, Cole, and Dev offered a thoughtful and well-organized overview of Charlotte Hu’s Scientific American article, “Why Writing By Hand is Better for Memory and Learning.” The process of planning and delivering that presentation will benefit you as you prepare to deliver your individual presentation for 1103 (during the exam period).
